Overview
Mirabegron is a beta-3 adrenergic agonist used to treat overactive bladder. It works by relaxing the bladder muscle during the storage phase, increasing bladder capacity.

Mechanism of Action
It activates beta-3 adrenergic receptors in the detrusor muscle of the bladder, leading to muscle relaxation and increased urine storage capacity.

Dosage and Administration
The recommended starting dose is 25 mg once daily, which may be increased to 50 mg once daily based on individual patient efficacy and tolerability.

Side Effects
Common side effects include elevated blood pressure, nasopharyngitis, urinary tract infection, and headache.

Contraindications
Contraindicated in patients with severe uncontrolled hypertension or known hypersensitivity to the drug.
